On its own, or with Myofascial Release
What is Radial Shockwave?
Radial shockwave uses a handheld applicator that sends quick pressure waves into the tissue, like a very fast, deep tap. Your practitioner focuses on the spots that need it most.
The science
The applicator turns a burst of air into a pressure wave that spreads out (radiates) from the applicator into the tissue under the skin. It's a mechanical stimulus, a bit like a very fast percussion massage, and athletes use it on spots that feel tight and stubborn.
What does it feel like?
A strong, rapid tapping. On a tight spot it can feel intense, and you can ask to turn it down at any time. Some people feel a little tender afterward, like after a deep massage.

Questions about Radial Shockwave
Is Radial Shockwave the same as focused shockwave?
No. Our device makes radial pressure waves, which spread out from the applicator into the tissue just under the skin. Focused shockwave is a different, medical-grade treatment that concentrates its energy deeper in the body. We don't offer focused shockwave.
Who is Radial Shockwave good for?
Adults with tight or sore spots that keep coming back, often runners, lifters and people who are on their feet all day. Many pair it with Myofascial Release. It isn't offered for anyone under 18.
How much is Radial Shockwave in Woodland Hills?
At Biohack Cryo + Wellness, Radial Shockwave is $120 on its own. Added to Myofascial Release it's $170 with 30 minutes or $230 with 60 minutes, and with 30 minutes of Cupping and scraping it's $170 together.
Can I combine it with Myofascial Release or Cupping and scraping?
Yes. Choose 30 or 60 minutes of Myofascial Release, or 30 minutes of Cupping and scraping, and tap "Add Radial Shockwave" when you book.
Does it hurt?
It can feel intense on a tight spot. Your practitioner adjusts the strength, and you can ask to turn it down or stop at any time.
How often can I have Radial Shockwave?
Once a week. Sessions are spaced about a week apart, and many people do a few weeks in a row. Start with one and see how your body feels.
What should I do after a session?
Go easy on the treated area for about 2 days, and skip ice and anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen on it if you can. If you're unsure about anything, ask your practitioner.
Can someone under 18 have Radial Shockwave?
No. Radial shockwave is only offered for guests 18 and over.
